This blog is a story of a dreamer that after 25 years, her dream came into reality. (God really listens in His time). My weekend garden (with a small) house in Tagaytay that reflect a place where every corner has a story to tell, a feeling of tranquility in a private little paradise wondering what is next to come, and a lot of happy memories of the past that are meant to be shared.
I am Zimar Boayes Mendiola, born and raised in Camarines Norte , Philippines and now settling in Manila . Number 6th of 9 children of a Bicol Hero, Lt. Col. Francisco “Turko” Boayes, and mama dear Julianita Zaldivar. I am a banker by profession.
I am happily married to Danny, also a banker and a “clean man” as he claims. I have 3 wonderful children that every parent could be proud of. My eldest is Mariz, a brand manager (a wife to Chris Luis and a mother to Mateo Jose—the apple of our eyes). Dana, a lawyer and Dan, an EC engineer.
Part of this aspiration are Ms. Martha Stewart, I am inspired by her ingenuity; The Beckman brothers with their country living; and Karen Pamintuan's sum up all together on "Listed", also in Lifestyle TV Channel. They are my inspirations. Watching them in television is considered as another treasure of hope to keep, to copy (if I could) and to share.
I feel that I have this gift that what I do in my garden house is in harmony. People seem to like it though. I truly love gardening and decorating my house. That is my passion. What is yours?

| My eldest sister, Enon, who is the most loved in the family and Joji (7th in the family-next to me). She loves to cook and travels to the U.S. often to visit her family--Lem, Ivan the eldest son is a headnurse in Vegas while Aaron is a chef. |

| My brother-in-law, Egay (an engineer) and my sister Abna Attento. I am next to her and my greatest english cretics which I always take note. Her son Franco is also a very good writer. She also has a beautiful/flawless daughter Maan. They were in the house though but no pictures. Next time will post their pictures too. |

| My family and my nieces from London, Jackie and Ness with very sweet Bonbon during their recent visit. Both Mateo and Bonbon call me "mamu" with feelings. Music to my ears. |

| My nieces from my husband side, Jacky and Ness with daughter Bon (Ronald not in the picture but if you see Bon, you have seen Ronald). They are my family in London. When I was there 4 years ago, I had the best tour guides ever. We tour the whole City of London -- so beautiful places. We even watched broadway, "Chicago" staring Brook Shield. I knew the hospitalies they had shown me is beyond my expectations and will be with me until the end. |
My handsome nephew Hedwig from LA, Calif on his visit in Aug 2011. He is the son of my brother Farhan and Violy; and taking up medicine. My lovely niece Maita (daughter of Benny and Sandie, my sister). She graduated in La Salle with honors and is now in advertising.
